Who handles your information

Dereham Roofers at derehamroofer.co.uk is a local roofing website operated by IT Genetics Ltd, trading as Lead Client, registered in England and Wales, company no. 07579763. We are registered with the Information Commissioner's Office, reference ZC184475.

The work itself is carried out by the trade business that carries out the work. When you send an enquiry through this website we check it and pass it to them so they can contact you and arrange a quote, and to nobody else. Your enquiry is never sold, and it is never sent to several firms to fight over.

What we collect

From the enquiry form: your name, phone number, email address, the postcode of the property, what you need doing and how soon.

If you call the number on this website, the call may be answered by our AI assistant and is recorded and transcribed. You are told that on the call. If you text us, we keep the conversation.

We also record your IP address in a scrambled form to keep spam bots off the form. It is turned into a one way code before it is saved, so we cannot read it back.

We never see or store card details, and there is no payment on this website.

Why, and on what basis

We use it to answer your enquiry, call you back, and get it to the trade business that carries out the work so they can quote. That is either a step you have asked us to take before any contract, or our legitimate interest in running the enquiry service this website exists for. Recording calls is a legitimate interest too, for quality, sorting out disputes and preventing fraud, and you are told at the start of the call.

If we email you afterwards about your enquiry, every one has an unsubscribe link that works.

Who else touches it

Only suppliers who help us run the service, on our instructions:

• our own lead management system, which stores your enquiry and sends the alerts
• an automation service and database that log the enquiry and notify the trade business that carries out the work
• our email and text message providers
• Cloudflare, which protects the form from bots and delivers this website
• Anthropic, if you use the chat assistant, because what you type has to be sent to the AI model for it to reply. Do not type anything into the chat that you would not put on the form.

Some of these process data outside the UK, mainly in the United States. Where they do, transfers are covered by UK approved safeguards such as the UK Extension to the EU to US Data Privacy Framework, or the UK International Data Transfer Agreement.

How long we keep it

Your enquiry stays with us while it is live, then for follow up until you ask us to stop, or until roughly 24 months with no contact. Call recordings are normally kept up to 12 months, longer only for an active dispute. the trade business that carries out the work keeps its own copy under its own arrangements, including for work it has quoted or carried out.

What is stored on your device

There is no advertising tracking on this website and nothing that follows you to other sites. Specifically:

• The spam check. Cloudflare Turnstile stores a token while it confirms you are not a bot. The form cannot be protected without it.
• A visit counter. We count which pages get looked at so we know the website is working. It keeps a random reference in your browser for the length of your visit and records the page and the site you arrived from. Your name is not attached to it and your IP address is scrambled first.
• The chat assistant remembers that you have closed the chat bubble, so it does not keep reappearing.

There is no Google Analytics and no advertising pixel.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask for it in a portable format. Email [email protected] and we will reply within a month. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
